Do you accept insurance?

Absolutely! We accept most major insurances, including NC Medicaid, AETNA, BCBS, CIGNA, United HC, Private Pay, and more. For private pay, we can provide a superbill, if requested.

Where will services be provided?

We travel to your home or child’s daycare, to lessen the burden on the parent and work with children in their natural environment!

Is an evaluation required?

Yes, insurance companies require an evaluation before beginning services. We also require an evaluation for private pay clients. This allows us to determine specific areas that need to be targeted for therapy and create an individualized treatment plan.

How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions typically last between 30 and 40 minutes, tailored to the client’s needs. The last few minutes of the session are dedicated to discussing strategies for increasing carryover, providing parent/teacher education, and reviewing progress towards therapy goals.

How do I start therapy?

For Insurance clients:
Step 1: Schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation and fill out our standard intake form. We will obtain important information such as your communication concerns, insurance, brief history, etc.
Step 2: We will reach out to and obtain a doctor’s order from your Pediatrician and then schedule an evaluation (approximately 1 hour).
Step 3: After the evaluation, we will analyze the data to write an evaluation report and create a treatment plan to submit to insurance for approval.
Step 4: This step will be the most frustrating, as we now must wait until insurance approves our treatment plan after reviewing the evaluation report. This can take anywhere from a week to a month, depending on a multitude of factors out of our control.
Step 5: After receiving approval from insurance (YAY!), we will start therapy sessions immediately!

For Private Pay clients:
Step 1: Schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation and fill out our standard intake form. We will obtain important information such as your communication concerns, brief history, etc.
Step 2: We will schedule an evaluation (approximately 1 hour).
Step 3: After the evaluation, we will analyze the data to write an evaluation report and create a treatment plan. This may take a couple days to a week.
Step 4: We will reach out to schedule and start therapy sessions immediately!
